The founder of the Hartung family, Erasmus Hartung (1641-1717), from Hanau am Main, was a titled master carpenter and owned his own craft workshop of cabinetmakers. The coat of arms of their guild in the logo of our studio symbolizes the continuity of craftsmanship.
In 1764, the Hartung family responded to the manifesto of Catherine the Great and moved to Russia.
